Breakthrough: Virgin Hyperloop successfully tests travel speed of 100 mph on humans!

Virgin Hyperloop completed its first first human ride test on a high-speed pod system in a huge technological breakthrough. On Sunday, two people sat inside the pod and travelled at a hyper speed of more than 100 mph. This was the first time that the company sent humans in their futuristic pod.

It was a major safety test for technology and the company now hopes that it will completely change human travel and cargo transportation in future. The statement released by the firm read, “For the past few years, the Virgin Hyperloop team has been working on turning its groundbreaking technology into reality.”

After conducting the trials successfully, the founder of the Virgin Group Sir Richard Branson said, “With today’s successful test, we have shown that this spirit of innovation will in fact change the way people everywhere live, work, and travel in the years to come.”

The test took place in Las Vegas in an XP-2 vehicle at Virgin Hyperloop’s 500-meter DevLoop testing site. Now, Virgin plans to introduce their latest super-high-speed travelling pod to prime cities in the world, such as Dubai and the Sin City.

How will it work?

The pods travel via low-pressure tube using magnetic levitation. These high-speed pods will have a capacity for 28 passengers. When completed, the pods are supposed to travel at more than 621 mph. According to the reports, the company has tested around 400 un-occupied pods and touched 240 mph. On Sunday, the test was completed at about 107 mph.
However, Virgin is not the only firm developing hyperloop trains. There’s another Dutch company,
Hardt Hyperloop, which is working towards building a low-energy train.
