Instagram influencer arrested for changing the iconic Hollywood sign to ‘Hollyboob’

The
Hollywood sign is a historical landmark in Los Angeles, California. But, on Monday, it read
‘Hollyboob’ instead of Hollywood, thanks to some pranksters and so called Instagram influencers! The incident took place on Monday and all six involved in the action were arrested by the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department).

The incident

An Instagram travel influencer, Julia Rose, along with her friends reached the famous hill in California with two tarps, one for hanging over the Hollywood ‘W’ sign and the smaller one for changing the ‘D’ into a ‘B’. The gang then performed some adventurous stunts by wheeling the tarp over the Hollywood sign with the help of a double stroller. Two of them even pretended to be husband and wife and together jumped a fence and climbed down the hill. They managed to change the letters and waited there for about 20 minutes. Later, they hiked down to Mulholland Highway, where policemen were already waiting for them.

The group of pranksters was spotted by the group LAPD surveillance team on video. Soon after, a police helicopter flew over and noticed the group hiking down from the Hollywood sign after accomplishing their mission. All of them were arrested for misdemeanor and trespassing but released later that night.

LAPD Capt. Steve Lurie said, “There’s no vandalism, because the sign wasn’t damaged.” After being arrested, Rose told the local media that it was all her idea. She said, “All of it combined together has been really, really great.”
Well, this is not the first time Rose has been caught in such a weird act. In 2019, she flashed her breasts at the baseball World Series and received a lifetime ban from Major League Baseball. Before this, she was banned from Instagram for nudity and has performed numerous stunts in the name of promoting breast cancer awareness.

Also, it is not the first time that somebody tried fiddling with the Hollywood sign. In 2017, the Hollywood sign briefly read
Hollyweed after someone played with the letters in the night but it was soon rectified.
