Sled dog pups coming aboard Princess ships in Alaska

Passengers on some Princess
cruises in Alaska in 2016 will have a chance to play and pose with sled dog puppies as
part of a program of local experiences.

The “Puppies in the Piazza” concept brings junior sled
dogs to the atrium of Princess ships for a meet-and-greet with passengers. Guests can interact with the animals, take pictures and
meet the dog handlers responsible for training them,
Princess said.

Also new to the “North to Alaska” program this summer
will be a chance for passengers to dine on fish that they catch during fishing
excursions.

Salmon and halibut are the centerpieces of several shore
excursions offered by Princess in Alaska. As guests return from their excursion, they select their
preferred preparation and accompaniments to be prepared by the culinary team
for either lunch or dinner.

The fish must be caught on authorized Princess shore
excursions at port calls in Juneau and Ketchikan or on cruise tours where guests
stay at Princess’ Kenai or Copper River wilderness lodges.
